Tignes
France

A multisport training destination validated by the Olympics.

Located in the heart of the French Alps, Tignes lies at an altitude of 2100m. It is renowned as a multisport hub, offering an ideal base for any high-altitude training camp. What’s more, Tignes has been granted the status of official training ground for several team and individual sports ahead of the Paris 2024 Olympic and Paralympic Games.

Complementing the world-class Apex sporting facilities, Tignes offers:

Tignespace: A 3500m2 dedicated indoor sporting facility including a multisport hall for team games, athletics track, long or triple jump pit, badminton and squash courts, and an international standard climbing hall.

Le Lagon: A water sport and fitness centre that includes a 25m pool, recreational pool and slide, wellness area with saunas, steam room and Jacuzzis, as well as a fitness studio and weights room.

Rugby/football pitch: Europe’s highest natural-grass outdoor sports pitch. A full-sized stadium, on which many professional teams have previously trodden.

Experiences

Any sport camp needs time off the field of play, for you to cement those team bonds and to create lasting memories.

In creating any Apex Perform Better Camp, we are experts in balancing your off-field time and choosing the right components to push your athletes outside of their comfort zone, making your experience of Tignes and the camp unforgettable.

In The Summer

Water sports: The natural lake in the heart of Tignes offers stand-up paddle boarding, canoeing, kayaking or pedal boats. For the extreme adrenaline rush, Acroland offers 3 levels of jump into the lake.

Rafting or Hydrospeed: The Isère river offers a robust experience of either rafting, hydrospeeding or kayaking.

High Ropes: In neighbouring Val d’Isère go and test your limits and head for heights on a course amongst the Solaise pine forest.

Bike Park: With over 160km of mountain bike trails for all abilities and specially designed e-bike and endurance trails.

Mountain Passes: Multiple Tour de France mountain cols are located in the surrounding area, including the Col de l’Iseran and Col de la Madeleine.

“Plage des sports”: A hub of outdoor sporting pitches and courts, including tennis, beach football/rugby/volleyball, synthetic football pitch and basketball courts.
